We thought they were human but they seemed to be some kind of magical constructs made of earth and mud. That old woman.. I don't know if she knew about this or not, but we wanted to try and warn you.

Unless you're already meeting with something similar.. in either case, contact me back as soon as you can."

Ne Erza? Lucy again - something's not right with what that woman said. She told us that all the kids were kidnapped, but Natsu and I just found two children and a dog hiding out in a house, with a trap laid out for intruders. Their description of their nanny doesn't really match what we know of that woman either. We're bringing them back to town now.

Are you saying they were using the children as bait? How did you identify the creatures? Was there anything strange about them before you discovered they weren't human?

[Small pause.]

We'll have to assume the old woman isn't who she says she is. Take the children straight back to the guild and make sure you aren't seen. If anyone we don't know approaches the guild hall tell them we're closed for the day and turn them away. I'm going to pay our "client" a visit once I've finished here.

I don't know. It's .. possible. They could have genuinely been kidnapped too though.

Natsu was the one who noticed they weren't human. He said they smelled off - but they were really hostile. One of the farmers tried starting a fight with Natsu. [ Which was an obvious mistake. ]

Right. I'll let Natsu know.
